What this is for

A sample that has to reach a lab within a fixed window. Equipment needed at a clinic before a procedure that is already booked. Records or supplies that have to move between two sites the same day. What connects all of it is the same thing that connects every same-day job here: a deadline that does not move, and an item that is too important to trust to a network built for volume rather than for one urgent case.

This is not a specialist medical transport service with its own fleet or equipment. It is the same-day service, applied to medical work: one van, one driver, driven directly, with the same care and honesty about what we can and cannot promise that runs through everything else on this site.

How it's handled

  • One driver, start to finish

The same driver who collects also delivers. There is no hub and no depot in between, so there is only one point at which the item changes hands at each end.

  • Checked at collection and at delivery

The driver confirms what they are collecting and who they are handing it to, at both ends of the job.

  • A straight answer about what we can carry

If an item needs handling we are not set up for — temperature-controlled transport, for instance — we will tell you that clearly on the call rather than take the job and find out too late.

What happens when you call

  1. Describe the item and the deadline

What is moving, where it is now, where it needs to be, and the time it has to arrive by.

  2. We quote a price

One figure for the whole job, given on the call. If we cannot handle the item properly, we say so immediately.

  3. Collection

A van comes to the address you gave us and the item is checked and handed over.

  4. Direct delivery

It is driven straight to the address you named, with no stop in between. You are told when it has arrived.

Medical courier questions

Can you collect from a hospital or lab?

Yes. Give us the site, the department if there is one, and the time it has to arrive by, and the job is planned around that.

Is this covered out of hours?

Yes. Nights, weekends, bank holidays and Christmas Day are ordinary working hours here, which matters more for medical work than for almost anything else we carry.

Do you carry temperature-controlled items?

Not as a specialist capability — we do not run refrigerated vehicles. If your item needs temperature control in transit, tell us on the call and we will give you a straight answer about whether we are the right service for it.

How is an item handed over and signed for?

The driver confirms what they are collecting at the first address and who they are handing it to at the second. Describe any specific sign-off you need when you book and we will follow it.
